Comprehensive Autism Diagnostic Evaluation for Children
A comprehensive diagnostic evaluation designed to determine whether a child meets criteria for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
This evaluation is recommended when concerns arise related to social communication, developmental delays, behavioral regulation, or repetitive behaviors. The goal of the evaluation is to provide diagnostic clarity and guide appropriate therapeutic interventions and supports.
The evaluation may include:
- Detailed developmental and medical history
- Parent or caregiver clinical interview
- Behavioral and social communication assessment
- Standardized autism screening and diagnostic tools when appropriate
- Review of school or therapy records if available
- Diagnostic determination based on DSM-5 criteria
- Comprehensive written diagnostic report
- Personalized recommendations for therapies and supports
Recommendations may include referrals for services such as Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), occupational therapy, speech therapy, social skills therapy, and school-based supports. The final report can also assist families with therapy referrals, insurance requirements, and school accommodation processes such as IEP or 504 plans.
